MSRBMH Ch 60

" ? " "The Song family?" Lin Yanjun didn't quite catch up with his erratic train of thought for a moment. Shen Le slammed his hand on the table again: "It's that Song family! Su-ge's darling white moonlight!" The two slams knocked the cold plum and pineapple salad off his chopsticks into his bowl, and Su Yu's face began to darken slightly. "I said, Shen Le, are you a human? You have to slam the table to speak." Shen Le chuckled and put his hand on Su Yu's shoulder: "No, isn't it more atmospheric to say it like that? I've seen crosstalk performances like that." Too lazy to argue, Su Yu finally put a piece of pineapple in his mouth and chewed it slowly. Something happened to the Song family, what happened? Could it be Song Yanchu's health...? Su Yu hadn't seen him for a long time, and for some reason, he hadn't thought of him even once during this period. Seeing that the two didn't react, Shen L...

MSRBMH Ch8

"Are you out of your mind?"

[HAHAHAHAHA this is too good, I’m laughing so hard I’m floating in the Jianghu!]
[Wife actually found it! Is this what they call telepathy?!]
[Ji-ge, you’re 198cm with eight-pack abs and 20cm down there, yet you’re still this insecure?]
[Can’t blame him—wife has too many love rivals. Gotta keep a tight leash.]
[Though let’s be real, most of those ‘rivals’ are just Ji Yanli’s imaginary enemies.]

Ji Yanli’s Adam’s apple bobbed as his fingers resumed rolling the prayer beads.

"This is just to ensure you focus on work."

What, was he mocking him for being a playboy?

A vein throbbed at Su Yu’s temple. "Listen, you’re just my boss. You’re overstepping. What I do after work is none of your business."

"It is."

Ji Yanli’s expression remained impassive. "If an emergency arises and you’re on a date, it’ll disrupt workflow."

What kind of job requires emergencies at night? Do you not sleep?!

When Su Yu didn’t respond, Ji Yanli added, "This clause is non-negotiable."

Su Yu flipped back to the first page and signed with a flourish.

"You—"

"What ‘you’? I never said I’d change it. I’ve got no interest in dating right now anyway."

He was barely scraping by—how could he possibly have the bandwidth for romance? Did he look like some lovesick fool?

He shoved the contract back. Ji Yanli took it, thumb brushing over the signature before closing the file.

"Today’s your first day. Familiarize yourself with the company. Someone will guide you."

Ji Yanli pressed a button on his desk phone, summoning a woman in a sharp pantsuit and a severe bob.

"Mia, show him around. And brief him on his duties."

Mia nodded, her hawk-like eyes assessing Su Yu. "Assistant Su, follow me."

Ji Yanli was already absorbed in his work, fingers flying across the keyboard. Su Yu shot him a glance before trailing after Mia.

Mia was as frosty as her boss—guess he has a type—her heels clicking like metronomes.

"14th floor. CEO’s office. Your workstation will be here."

She stopped at a desk outside Ji Yanli’s door, currently bare.

"That’s the CEO’s private coffee station. Brew a cup every morning and deliver it to his office."

Through the glass, Su Yu spotted a gleaming machine and rows of artisanal beans.

"Got it."

No wonder he’s so grouchy—caffeine overload and no sleep.

After touring the floor, Mia led him to other departments.

"This is Manager Li from PR. Coordinate with him on campaigns."

A young man stood, smiling. "Hello."

Su Yu mirrored the politeness. "Hello."

By the 8th floor, Su Yu couldn’t resist: "Does Ji Yanli usually work here?"

Mia’s lips thinned. "The CEO oversees multiple corporations. He rotates."

Then why make me memorize this place? But questioning Ji Yanli’s logic was futile.

"Understood."

As they passed a cluster of desks, whispers snagged his attention:

"Isn’t that Su Yu?"

"Is he working here? Since when do trust-fund babies work?"

A snicker. "Probably got in through connections."

"You think the CEO would want him? Delusional."

Mia cleared her throat. The culprits scrambled to look busy.

Su Yu’s smile turned razor-sharp. He leaned onto a desk. "Don’t stop on my account. Keep going."

The offender shrunk into his seat.

A colleague sneered: "Planning to harass coworkers on day one, Young Master Su?"

His smirk dripped condescension.

These entitled brats are all the same—useless without Daddy’s money.

Su Yu’s eyebrow arched. "Funny. I thought you started it."

The tension crackled until Mia intervened, icy: "Are you quite finished?"

The room hushed—no one crossed Ji Yanli’s right-hand woman.

Still, one muttered: "Typical rich kid, hiding behind others."

Su Yu’s patience snapped—

The elevator dinged.

"I hear R&D has complaints about my assistant?"

Ji Yanli’s voice dropped the temperature by 10 degrees.

The gossiper paled. The department manager—who’d stayed silent earlier—scrambled up, fawning: "CEO! What brings you here?"

Su Yu eyed his badge.

Hypocrite.
