SDS: Chapter 41

"Qin Zhiyan Kissed Him!"

Han Qiuqiu matched Tang Keyi drink for drink, glass for glass.

Once thoroughly intoxicated, their tongues loosened completely.

"Qin Zhiyan is such a bastard!"

"What a coincidence—so is Qin Yulin!"

"Not a single decent person with the surname Qin exists!"

The room was filled with young elites from the capital's wealthy circles.

They exchanged awkward glances—thankfully,

no one from the Qin family was present—

and decided to let the two drunkards rant as they pleased.

There was no reasoning with them in this state.

To everyone's shock, the door suddenly swung open,

and in walked two men bearing that very surname.

Qin Zhiyan and Qin Yulin—the two "bastards" in question—

froze in the doorway upon hearing Tang Keyi and Han Qiuqiu's drunken insults.

The entire room: ...Holy shit, how do we explain this?

Qin Yulin chuckled dryly.

"Zhiyan, seems they've dragged our whole family into this."

Qin Zhiyan frowned at the sight of Tang Keyi's flushed, disheveled state.

He'd never seen him this drunk before.

Striding over, Qin Zhiyan snatched the glass from Tang Keyi's hand.

"Tang Keyi, stop drinking."

Tang Keyi looked up, squinting at Qin Zhiyan for a few seconds before recognition dawned.

"...You're Qin Zhiyan?"

"At least you're not completely wasted."

Qin Zhiyan reached to pull him up, but Tang Keyi violently shook him off.

"Don't touch me! I want to drink! Go drink your damn coffee!"

Han Qiuqiu drunkenly chimed in,

"Who needs coffee?! Drink alcohol! Alcohol!"

Qin Zhiyan suppressed his irritation and coaxed,

"I'm not drinking coffee. Let's go."

Liquid courage had emboldened Tang Keyi.

"No! I'm staying! I'm playing all night!"

"You said you liked me, didn't you?"

Not wanting to air their affairs in public,

Qin Zhiyan kept his tone cold, hoping to expedite their exit.

"Now you won't even listen to me?"

"No! Never!"

Tang Keyi's face burned red as he shouted,

"This young master is officially revoking that statement! I don't like you anymore! Everything I said before is null and void!"

The entire room collectively gaped.

Is this something we're allowed to hear?!

Will Qin Zhiyan silence us all to keep this under wraps?!

Qin Zhiyan's expression turned glacial.

Too late to take it back now.

"That's not your decision to make."

Realizing the futility of reasoning with a drunk, Qin Zhiyan decided on force.

He moved to carry Tang Keyi out—only for a hand to block his path.

It was the man from earlier—Zhou Mai—who had been sitting beside Tang Keyi.

Having pieced together their relationship from the argument,

Zhou Mai now regarded Qin Zhiyan as an obsessive ex.

"Sir, Keyi doesn't want to leave. Respect his wishes."

"And if I don't?"

Qin Zhiyan sneered.

"Move, or you'll regret it."

The venom in Qin Zhiyan's glare sent a chill down Zhou Mai's spine,

his instincts screaming at him to retreat.

Just then, Tang Keyi lurched forward as if about to vomit.

Zhou Mai instinctively recoiled—

—only for Qin Zhiyan to yank Tang Keyi into his arms a split second before his head could hit the table.

Tang Keyi promptly threw up all over Qin Zhiyan.

The room collectively held its breath.

Vomit dripped down Qin Zhiyan's clothes,

yet he remained unfazed,

effortlessly scooping Tang Keyi into his arms.

His contemptuous gaze swept over Zhou Mai before he strode toward the door,

leaving behind a single, icy warning:

"Watch your tongues."

"Of course, President Qin."

"Have a safe trip, President Qin."

Meanwhile, Qin Yulin studied Han Qiuqiu with amusement,

considering copying his cousin's approach.

To his surprise, Han Qiuqiu suddenly turned to him with a dazzling, drunken grin.

"Hey, handsome! Got a boyfriend?"

Qin Yulin: ???

"If not... how about me?"

Qin Yulin marveled at his luck—no effort required,

and Han Qiuqiu was delivering himself straight into his arms?

Han Qiuqiu stumbled into Qin Yulin's embrace.

No way I'm letting this duck fly away now.

Qin Yulin promptly lifted him up and addressed the room:

"As for Zhiyan and Tang Keyi—keep quiet. But me and Han Qiuqiu? Spread the word far and wide. Emphasis on him throwing himself at me!"

As the two Qins departed, someone in the room muttered under their breath:

"Truly, not a single decent person with the surname Qin."

Qin Zhiyan carried Tang Keyi straight to his own room.

After switching on the lights, he deposited Tang Keyi on the sofa and stripped off his soiled outerwear.

Since only the upper half was dirty,

Qin Zhiyan changed into clean clothes before returning with a warm towel to wipe Tang Keyi's face.

Still dazed, Tang Keyi slumped against the sofa, grumbling.

"Qin Zhiyan... bastard..."

Qin Zhiyan pinched his nose in mock punishment.

"Would a bastard be cleaning you up right now?"

[Qin Zhiyan, bastard!]

"Even cursing me in your thoughts now."

Qin Zhiyan scoffed lightly.

"Seeing how bold you were today, you've really stopped fearing me. Good."

"I... feel sick..."

"Should've thought of that before drowning yourself in alcohol."

"My heart... hurts..."

"Because of me?"

Qin Zhiyan brushed his thumb over the red mole on Tang Keyi's earlobe.

"Sorry for making you suffer. Won't happen again."

When Tang Keyi woke, he initially thought he was in his own room—

until he noticed the unfamiliar decor.

Fragmented memories of last night flashed through his mind:

Qin Zhiyan's face, shouting at him, declaring he no longer liked him...

Tang Keyi covered his face in despair.

Alcohol is truly the root of all disasters.

So this was Qin Zhiyan's room?

At the sound of the door opening,

Tang Keyi's survival instincts kicked in—

he immediately shut his eyes and feigned sleep.

[Oh god, this is even more embarrassing than last time.]

[Playing dead is the way to safety.]

Qin Zhiyan sighed inwardly.

This time, he had no intention of letting Tang Keyi off so easily.

Deliberately sitting on the edge of the bed,

he stared at Tang Keyi's slightly fluttering eyelashes.

Such terrible acting.

[Why isn't he leaving?]

[Does he know I'm faking?]

Qin Zhiyan played along.

"Still asleep? Could he be sick?"

He pressed a hand to Tang Keyi's forehead.

"Seems a bit feverish."

[I'm not sick—I'm mortified!]

After a prolonged silence, Qin Zhiyan still didn't move.

[What's he still staring at?]

[Just go already...]

Suddenly, Tang Keyi felt something soft and cool brush against his forehead.

By the time he realized it was a kiss, he nearly jolted upright in shock.

Qin Zhiyan just kissed me?!
