Lin Shuquan nodded in agreement:
"Qin Zhuo mistook a pearl for fish eyes. And those who supported Qin Chenglu must be kicking themselves now."
Nian Jinsui inwardly cheered.
He, too, felt a surge of vindication.
Finally, Qin Chengyu’s suffering had paid off.
Let those blind fools see what they’d overlooked!
Indeed, Xilu had its reasons for sending Qin Chengyu back to the Qin family.
Even if Qin Chengyu hadn’t sabotaged Qin Chenglu’s project,
his monstrous talent alone would have forced Qin Zhuo to acknowledge him—
and ultimately hand him the reins of the Qin Group.
But then… if Xilu was so omniscient,
how had it calculated those bizarre "harm points" earlier?
Lin Shuquan mused:
"This is what they mean by ‘each generation surpasses the last.’ Among the new generation in the capital, Chengyu and Chu Heting will be the ones to watch."
Nian Yixin scoffed, shooting Lin Shuquan a knowing look:
"There’s another saying—‘even heroes fall for beauties.’ I’d argue the Nian family are the real winners here."
Lin Shuquan chuckled.
"You’re right, Xiao Xin."
Nian Jinsui raised an eyebrow at Ning Liang’an:
That’s your cue.
Ning Liang’an:
Sorry, but you’re involved too.

### **Hospital**
*"Son! You’re finally awake! Do you know how worried I was? The hospital called, and I rushed over immediately. Who did this to you?"*
Ye Kang’s mother hovered anxiously over his bruised and battered form.
*"Mom… who brought me here?"* Ye Kang winced as speaking tugged at his split lip.
*"I don’t know. The hospital just said someone dropped you off."* She frowned. *"They didn’t have any details. What happened?"*
*"I remember… seeing his watch… It was Qin Chengyu! He kidnapped me! I’ll make him pay—"*
Though blindfolded during the ordeal, the blows to Ye Kang’s face had loosened the cloth just enough for him to catch a glimpse of his captor’s wrist—and the **JS limited-edition watch** only Qin Chengyu wore.
*"It was definitely him!"*
*"Son… are you sure? Do you have proof?"* His mother hesitated. *"Without evidence, accusing him could backfire on us."*
Ye Kang assumed her concern was about Nian Jinsui shielding Qin Chengyu and smirked. *"Don’t worry, Mom. Nian Jinsui can’t protect him this time. You see, Nian Jinsui is actually—"*
*"That’s not what I meant."* She cut him off. *"You don’t know yet… Qin Chengyu is now the head of the Qin Group."*
*"WHAT?!"* Ye Kang’s blood ran cold. *"Impossible! What about Qin Chenglu?"*
*"While you were unconscious, Nian Jinsui sent Qin Chengyu back to the Qins. The family announced his succession shortly after. Qin Chenglu’s out of the picture."*
*"Why would Nian Jinsui send him back…?"* Ye Kang’s mind raced before latching onto a twisted logic. *"They must have fallen out! If I can’t touch Qin Chengyu, I’ll settle the score with Nian Jinsui!"*
Gleefully, he hissed: *"Mom, listen—Nian Jinsui isn’t even a real Nian! He’s a fraud! The true heir is someone else! I’ll expose him and ruin his life!"*
But his mother’s reaction wasn’t the shock he’d anticipated. She simply sighed. *"Everyone already knows. The real heir is Ning Liang’an."*
Ye Kang gaped. *"How…?"*
*"It’s public knowledge. The Nians claimed they’re twins and officially recognized Ning Liang’an. No one dares challenge it."*
Stunned, Ye Kang realized the world had shifted during his coma.
Qin Chengyu—once powerless—now ruled the Qin Group.
Nian Jinsui—the "impostor"—had been legitimized as a Nian heir.
And his revenge?
*"AAARGH!"* He could only scream in impotent rage.
Then, dread seeped in.
*If Qin Chengyu dared kidnap and beat me when he was nobody… what will he do to me now that he’s untouchable?*
Qin Group Headquarters
"Chengyu, did I hear correctly? You want to marry?"
Qin Zhuo studied his grandson in disbelief.
He’d assumed Qin Chengyu was cold and detached—
after all, the man had refused even an Omega’s comfort during his rut.
Yet now he was voluntarily proposing marriage?
"Yes. I wish to marry."
Qin Chengyu’s tone was as indifferent as ever, but his words brooked no argument.
He wanted to bind himself to Nian Jinsui.
Permanently.
Irrevocably.
Not even Nian Jinsui would be allowed to refuse.
"An Omega companion would ease your ruts,"
Qin Zhuo conceded.
"But these things take time. I’ll have Luo Qiao compile a list of suitable candidates from prominent families—"
"Unnecessary. I’ve chosen Nian Jinsui."
"Nian Jinsui?"
Qin Zhuo’s nose wrinkled.
"That reckless, spoiled brat? Even I’ve heard of his scandals. And with the Nians’ recent ‘twin’ farce, everyone knows he’s not blood-related. Why him?"
Qin Chengyu didn’t flinch.
"So?"
"Their newly recognized son is also an Omega—and entangled with the Chu heir. If we ally with the Nians but take the fake heir, wouldn’t we lose face to the Chus? The true heir is the logical choice. Leave this to me—"
"I only want Nian Jinsui."
