Chapter 15: Nian Jinsui Becomes the Domineering CEO

“Liang’an, why is your face so red? Is your fever still not gone?”

“I’m almost recovered. Thank you for your concern, Young Master Chu,” Ning Liang’an replied.

“Liang’an, just call me by my name. Aren’t we friends?” Chu Heting suggested.

Ning Liang’an remained silent for a moment, seemingly mustering his courage. Finally, he slowly said,

“Young Master Chu, you and I are from different worlds. I am busy every day making a living and have no time to think about other matters. I also don’t want my peaceful life to be disturbed by others. Do you understand what I’m saying?”

Chu Heting, trying to suppress his feelings, said earnestly,

“Liang’an, I understand your worries. I will protect you and won’t let anyone hurt you. Can’t you give me a chance? I really like you—you’re the first person I’ve ever liked in my entire life…”

From his hiding place, Nian Jinsui was growing anxious.

What’s with this Chu Heting? Didn’t he notice Ning Liang’an said so much but never mentioned that he didn’t like him? Isn’t it obvious he likes you but doesn’t dare to take that step because of the gap in your statuses?

“This is the moment to hold him and kiss him! Why waste time talking so much? Isn’t Chu Heting supposed to be a domineering CEO? Isn’t he an Alpha? Why is he hesitating so much? Does he even know how to act?”

Nian Jinsui was both angry and exasperated. He almost wanted to rush in and handle the situation himself.

Such a cute Omega, even I want him!

Seeing Nian Jinsui’s eagerness to burst in, Qin Chengyu, standing nearby, closed his eyes in disdain.

Is this love-struck fool about to lose it again after hearing his crush confess to his rival?

“I’m sorry, Young Master Chu, but the gap between us is too big. I’m already exhausted from studying and working part-time every day. I don’t have the confidence for this. I hope you find someone better than me who loves you more,”

Ning Liang’an finally said, rejecting Chu Heting.

“Heh…”

Chu Heting let out a bitter laugh.

“But I only like you. Still, since you’ve made your decision, I’ll respect it and won’t disturb you again.”

Nian Jinsui rolled his eyes.

Yeah, right. The next time you hear Ning Liang’an isn’t taking care of himself, you’ll come running to him to help change his bandages.

Sure, he’s not injured now, but he’s still recovering from his illness, and you’ll definitely show up to check on him.

Besides, isn’t his heat period coming up soon?

I remember this part of the story—this is where their relationship progresses. It’s a key moment.

At the thought, Nian Jinsui couldn’t help but grin mischievously.

Qin Chengyu, noticing the expression, thought,

He’s actually happy about this? And he’s smiling so creepily…

Just then, Chu Heting’s footsteps interrupted Nian Jinsui’s thoughts, and he scrambled to maneuver his wheelchair away.

Fortunately, Qin Chengyu quickly pushed him into an empty private room across the hall, hiding him behind the door just in time.

That was close—they were almost discovered.

Relieved, Nian Jinsui gave Qin Chengyu a thumbs-up.

Qin Chengyu said nothing, concealing his exasperation and disdain.

Once the hallway was quiet and it was confirmed that Chu Heting and Ning Liang’an had left,

Nian Jinsui and Qin Chengyu quietly exited the room and left the building.

After leaving the Imperial Capital Tower, they got into the car. The driver asked,

“Young Master, are we heading home now?”

“Let’s go to a nearby mall. I want to buy some clothes,”

Nian Jinsui replied.

“As you wish, Young Master,” the driver said.

Nian Jinsui’s personal style leaned towards simple and casual.

However, after taking a look at his wardrobe the previous day, he realized that most of the clothes in there were either gaudy, deep-V tight-fitting shirts, or even sheer, mesh tops—excessively flamboyant.

Out of all that, he had barely managed to pick something wearable for today.

As they drove, Nian Jinsui scrolled through his phone contacts and called the assistant of Nian Yixin, the family accountant.

In his memory, all of the Nian family’s bills were handled by Assistant Zhou.

“Assistant Zhou, if you receive any bills under my name this month, kindly respond to them saying I have not approved any charges. If I find non-authorized expenses on my account again, I won’t be paying for them,”

Nian Jinsui stated firmly.

“Oh, and don’t renew the private room at the Imperial Capital Tower anymore. There are plenty of vacant rooms there—why waste money on a reserved one?”

After hanging up, Nian Jinsui felt refreshed. Finally, he wouldn’t have to deal with Ye Kang leeching off him anymore.

Sitting silently nearby, Qin Chengyu listened to all of this, his gaze flickering slightly.

So, this Nian Jinsui isn’t entirely foolish after all.

At the mall, Nian Jinsui steered his wheelchair into a luxury clothing store.

The staff immediately greeted him with their standard eight-tooth smiles.

They were all very familiar with this generous VIP, who always brought them excellent sales numbers whenever he visited.

“Welcome, Young Master Nian! These are the newest arrivals from the past two days. Please take a look and let us know if there’s anything you like,”

one of the salespeople said eagerly.

“Mm, these are quite nice,”

Nian Jinsui said, nodding as he pointed.

“This one, this one, and those two over there.”

“Right away, Young Master Nian. I’ll package them for you immediately!”

“I meant, I’ll take all of them—except for these few I pointed out,”

Nian Jinsui corrected with a casual wave.

The salesperson’s smile stretched so wide it was nearly reaching their ears.

This isn’t just a young master; this is a walking God of Wealth here to bless us!

“Understood, Young Master Nian. We’ll select everything in your size and have it delivered to the Nian family residence.”

Nian Jinsui felt an indescribable joy.

So this is what it feels like to say those kinds of lines. Being rich is amazing!

His gaze then fell on Qin Chengyu, who had been silent the whole time. Suddenly inspired, he asked,

“Qin Chengyu, see anything you like? I’ll buy it for you.”

“I don’t need any clothes,”

Qin Chengyu replied, uninterested.

“I have enough to wear as it is.”

No desire to shop at all?

Nian Jinsui thought to himself.

He remembered that Qin Chengyu had only brought a single suitcase with him when he came, so he couldn’t have packed many clothes.

But, more importantly, Nian Jinsui was now addicted to spending money and wanted an excuse to buy more.

With a sly, domineering grin, he leaned back slightly and declared,

“I said I’m buying for you. You don’t get to refuse.”

Qin Chengyu: …

In his mind, Qin Chengyu had officially labeled Nian Jinsui as

not very bright.

“Fine, I’ll pick something for you. But if you don’t like what I choose, don’t blame me,”

Nian Jinsui said, diving into the racks.

He carefully recalled the clothing style described in the novel for Qin Chengyu and tried to select items that matched.

Once satisfied, he also arranged for everything to be delivered to the Nian family estate.

After finishing with clothes, Nian Jinsui wandered into other stores, buying more outfits, shoes, and finally heading into a LEGO specialty store.

There, he bought an absurd amount of sets, all to be delivered directly to his home.

As he left the store, his heart felt full of joy.

Being rich is just too, too, too satisfying!

After wandering around, Nian Jinsui, who hadn’t eaten much at lunch, began to feel a bit hungry.

He had originally planned to wait until he got home to eat, but just as he was leaving the mall, he spotted a McDonald’s at the entrance…
