SDS: Chapter 63
"Next Time, I’ll Kiss Lower"
Tang Keyi suddenly realized something and flushed, evading the question:
"It's nothing, Nancheng has a lot of mosquitoes. Must’ve been bitten..."
As he spoke, he tugged his collar up higher, covering the reddish mark.
But the other four weren’t naive—how could they not recognize what that mark really was?
The four brothers exchanged glances, their expressions instantly turning grim.
Tang Keyi hadn’t come home all night—had the precious little cabbage they’d raised for so many years been devoured by some wild boar?
Tang Keping was the first to snap, scoffing coldly,
"I think Big Brother wasn’t harsh enough earlier. How about we give Qin Zhiyan a good beating later?"
Tang Keyan agreed,
"Lao Si’s right. Otherwise, Qin Zhiyan might think the Tang family is a pushover and keep bullying Xiao Wu."
Tang Keyi panicked,
"What’s with all this talk of beating people up? Qin Zhiyan is already injured! You can’t lay a hand on him!"
"Injured?" The four brothers echoed in unison, surprise coloring their voices.
"How did he get hurt?" Tang Kexing asked suspiciously.
"It was just an accident," Tang Keyi answered vaguely.
"Actually, he got hurt because of me, so don’t you dare touch him. And don’t tell Grandma, or she’ll worry."
Tang Keyi thought to himself—there was no way he could let his brothers know Qin Zhiyan had gotten into a fight because of him, or else he’d never hear the end of it.
The four brothers noticed Tang Keyi’s evasive expression and immediately sensed something was off.
Qin Zhiyan and Tang Keyi had spent the night alone together, and Qin Zhiyan was injured...
The four exchanged glances, silently reaching the same conclusion.
They had been worried Tang Keyi was the one who’d been "devoured," but it turned out Qin Zhiyan was the tender little cabbage all along!
The brothers were stunned—they never expected Qin Zhiyan would go that far...
Of course, this wasn’t something they could tell Grandma.
Tang Keyi noticed his brothers’ strange expressions and was about to ask when Grandma Tang called out from the dining table.
"What are you five brothers whispering about? Come sit down and eat!"
The five brothers hurried over and took their seats.
Qin Zhiyan had been chatting amicably with Grandma Tang and the other elders. Compared to the four brothers, the older generation was quite satisfied with him.
Qin Zhiyan had expected the brothers to still hold a grudge, but to his surprise, their attitudes had completely shifted.
Tang Kexing cleared his throat and said to Qin Zhiyan, "President Qin, have some more soup. It’s nourishing."
Tang Keli quickly added, "Yes, soup is good. Avoid anything too greasy."
Grandma Tang frowned. "What’s wrong with young people eating greasy food? The roasted pigeon is excellent—Zhiyan, try it."
Tang Keping immediately intervened, "The pigeon is too heaty. Let’s take it away."
Tang Keyan, sitting beside Qin Zhiyan, eagerly ladled him a bowl of tonic soup. "President Qin, drink it while it’s hot."
Qin Zhiyan, baffled by their sudden concern, could only nod. "Thank you."
Grandma Tang warmly suggested,
"Zhiyan, since you’re in Nancheng, there’s no need to stay in a hotel alone. Why not come stay with us? It’ll be easier for you and Keyi to spend time together."
Tang Keyi’s eyes lit up.
He and Qin Zhiyan were in the honeymoon phase of their relationship—he wanted to stick to him like glue all day.
Plus, with Qin Zhiyan injured, living together would make it easier to help apply medicine.
[Yes, yes, yes! Say yes!]
Qin Zhiyan maintained his composure and replied politely, "I wouldn’t want to impose."
Tang Kexing thought to himself—Qin Zhiyan might look calm, but with those injuries, he must be in pain. Staying alone in a hotel really wasn’t ideal.
Tang Kexing said,
"Grandma’s right. You should stay with us. Xiao Wu has the whole fifth floor to himself—you can take the empty room next to his."
"In that case, I’ll accept your kindness," Qin Zhiyan agreed smoothly.
"No need to stand on ceremony," Grandma Tang said cheerfully. "Now, everyone, let’s eat!"
The Tang family lived in a private island villa.
After Qin Zhiyan finished unpacking, he couldn’t find Tang Keyi anywhere.
Grandma Tang told him, "Keyi went surfing. He asked me to tell you to come find him once you’ve settled in."
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Qin Zhiyan headed to the beach alone.
Before he even reached the shore, he spotted a lithe figure leaping across the waves.
The afternoon sun was bright but not scorching, casting a warm glow over Tang Keyi’s fair skin, making him look like he’d been dipped in thick, sticky honey.
Delicious.
The "honey" himself noticed Qin Zhiyan’s arrival and promptly rode the wave back to shore. He shook the water from his hair as he strode toward Qin Zhiyan.
Tang Keyi wore only loose swim trunks, now clinging tightly to his skin from the water, revealing his smooth, fair torso and long, slender legs.
Truly white and tender.
Qin Zhiyan’s throat bobbed, his gaze darkening as he murmured, "A feast for the eyes."
Tang Keyi stopped in front of him. "Did you finish unpacking?"
"Yes, all done."
Suppressing his thoughts, Qin Zhiyan reached out to brush the wet hair from Tang Keyi’s forehead.
His gaze swept over Tang Keyi’s body with a possessiveness that even Tang Keyi could sense, making him slightly nervous.
[Is my figure okay?]
[I don’t have an eight-pack, but I’m not fat either!]
Qin Zhiyan’s eyes lingered on Tang Keyi’s waist—indeed not fat, with just a little softness that looked irresistibly pinchable.
Just as he was about to act on the impulse, Qin Zhiyan frowned and pointed at Tang Keyi’s shoulder. "Did you forget sunscreen? You’re turning red."
"I did put on sunscreen. But it washes off in the water," Tang Keyi said dismissively, shrugging. "Besides, I sunburn easily..."
Qin Zhiyan turned Tang Keyi around and saw his back was slightly red in several spots. His expression darkened as he pulled Tang Keyi toward a shaded area under a beach umbrella.
"You’re an adult—can’t even take care of yourself properly."
Tang Keyi remained unfazed. "It’s normal to get a little sunburned when surfing or swimming. No big deal. I only come here once a year anyway."
Qin Zhiyan draped a towel over Tang Keyi’s head and began drying his hair.
Tang Keyi pointed at the mark on his collarbone.
"Look what you did—I couldn’t even cover it up with my clothes. My brothers totally saw it. Luckily, I managed to brush it off."
"Mm. Next time, I’ll kiss lower. They won’t see a thing," Qin Zhiyan replied nonchalantly.
Tang Keyi: ???
[That’s not what I meant.]
