SDS: Chapter 46

 "So Fair, So Tender—Everywhere"

Qin Zhiyan pretended to be nonchalant as he stood up and opened the wardrobe,

selecting a set of his own clothes.

"Go take a shower. You can wear these."

"Ah?"

Tang Keyi stared at the boxer briefs placed atop the clothes,

his face flushing with embarrassment.

[The shirt and pants are fine, but wearing his underwear right after getting together—isn’t that moving too fast?!]

[Didn’t they say Qin Zhiyan was also a lifelong singleton? How did he level up so quickly the moment he figured things out? We’re both new to this—why is the gap so big?]

[But it’s not like I can go commando…]

After listening to Tang Keyi’s inner monologue, Qin Zhiyan smiled faintly and added,

"The underwear is new."

"Okay, thanks."

Face burning, Tang Keyi grabbed the clothes and bolted into the bathroom.

Qin Zhiyan, having successfully teased Tang Keyi as per his daily routine, smirked in satisfaction.

Now that he had a free moment,

he turned off the music on his phone and sat on the bed,

scrolling through documents while waiting for Tang Keyi to finish.

But his focus didn’t last long.

Even though Tang Keyi wasn’t physically beside him,

the proximity meant his thoughts came through loud and clear—

as if he were right there.

[I’m actually showering in Qin Zhiyan’s bathroom!]

[Oh my god, if nothing happens after this, it’d be a waste of such a perfect setup.]

[Tang Keyi, what the hell are you thinking in broad daylight?!]

[Finally feeling better after the shower.]

[Tsk tsk, my skin is so fair and soft. Seriously, every inch is fair, every inch is tender.]

[Ugh, it’s all because of the cold weather—I’ve been eating too much lately. Even my waist has gotten thicker.]

Outside,

Qin Zhiyan’s breathing grew heavy, his throat bobbing.

Tang Keyi’s narration painted a vivid picture in his mind—

a breathtaking image of a freshly bathed beauty.

He never should’ve let Tang Keyi shower here.

No, he couldn’t stay.

Logic told him to leave, but Qin Zhiyan didn’t want to.

He was tormented, yet he couldn’t bring himself to stop listening.

[Damn, wearing Qin Zhiyan’s clothes is kinda embarrassing.]

[These boxers are way too big. Does that mean his… you know…]

[My ego is bruised.]

[Don’t underestimate yourself, Tang Keyi! Technique matters more! You’ve got this!]

[The pants are a bit loose too. Thank god for belts.]

Just as Qin Zhiyan’s sanity teetered on the edge, Tang Keyi finally emerged.

Dressed in Qin Zhiyan’s white shirt and suit pants—

both oversized on his smaller frame—Tang Keyi looked anything but formal.

The untucked shirt and slightly long pants gave him a lazily elegant air.

Fresh from the shower, his skin glowed even fairer.

Qin Zhiyan’s mind flashed back to Tang Keyi’s earlier words—

every inch is fair, every inch is tender—and his gaze darkened.

He’d always been indifferent to desire,

repulsed by those who tried to seduce him in business settings.

Yet now, a single thought from Tang Keyi had him reacting instantly.

Turns out, he wasn’t immune to lust—he just hadn’t met the right person.

Forcing his eyes away from Tang Keyi’s tantalizing neck,

Qin Zhiyan noticed his bare feet on the carpet and fetched slippers for him.

His feet are fair too.

Seemed Tang Keyi hadn’t been exaggerating.

The question was—when would he get to verify it firsthand?

Qin Zhiyan took a deep breath, shoving those thoughts aside,

and retrieved a hairdryer from the bedside drawer.

Plugging it in, he glanced at Tang Keyi.

"Come sit. I’ll dry your hair."

Obediently, Tang Keyi shuffled over and sat,

his damp eyes fixed on Qin Zhiyan.

[Qin Zhiyan is so good to me.]

[Like a gentle, devoted wife.]

Qin Zhiyan’s hands stilled.

He now faced a critical issue in their relationship:

Both of them wanted to be the husband.

But there was no rush—they could settle that… later.

His fingers combed through Tang Keyi’s wet hair, the warm air quickly drying it.

Putting the dryer away, Qin Zhiyan asked,

"Still want to work? Or should we go home to rest?"

"Don’t wanna work,"

Tang Keyi answered honestly.

Who wanted to work?

But then he peeked at Qin Zhiyan and averted his gaze.

[I just want to be with you.]

Qin Zhiyan’s lips curved.

When will you say these things out loud?

"Then we’ll both take the day off."

Dutifully, Tang Keyi reminded him,

"But you have a meeting this afternoon."

"Then Assistant Tang can reschedule it for me."

[Qin Zhiyan sounds like a ruler corrupted by love! But I’m into it!]

Tang Keyi’s eyes crinkled with delight.

"Yes, President Qin."

"At work, it’s ‘President Qin.’ In private, what should you call me?"

[Wifey?]

[If someone overhears, would Qin Zhiyan feel humiliated?]

[Better not.]

Qin Zhiyan mentally noted that he’d have to teach Tang Keyi who the real wife was.

"Tangtang,"

Qin Zhiyan said, giving him a pet name.

"Think carefully about what to call me."

"Tangtang? But my whole family’s surnamed Tang."

"Not that Tangtang."

Qin Zhiyan pointed to the candy engraved on his bracelet.

"This ‘Tangtang.’"

"Oh… that’s acceptable."

Tang Keyi blinked, a flicker of pleasure in his eyes as he nodded.

[Is Qin Zhiyan saying I’m sweet?]

[Haha, smooth talker.]

Qin Zhiyan thought,

Haven’t tasted you yet

but I bet you are.

"Figured it out? Let’s start with my name."

He handed Tang Keyi his coat,

ruffling his freshly dried hair.

"It’s almost two. Hungry? Let’s go eat."

Tang Keyi dressed but hesitated, unable to bring himself to say it.

[Why am I so shy?!]

[This feels like a dream—how did I suddenly end up with Qin Zhiyan?]

"I—I should send a notice about rescheduling the meeting first,"

he stammered.

"Cong Qiao can handle it. Let’s go."

"Okay."

[Should we hold hands? Couples do that, right?]

[If I initiate, would it seem too forward?]

Tang Keyi stole glances at Qin Zhiyan’s profile, overthinking wildly.

His mental reminder prompted Qin Zhiyan to extend his hand first.

"Let’s go."

Tang Keyi nodded emphatically and clasped it.

[Qin Zhiyan is so smooth! Exactly my type!]

Qin Zhiyan smirked.

Outside, Cong Qiao—

who’d witnessed them entering the room with Qin Zhiyan carrying Tang Keyi—

now saw them exit hand in hand.

He couldn’t help but marvel.

President Qin is finally off the market!

But…

are those President Qin’s clothes on Young Master Tang?

Did President Qin swayed by his irresistible charm, end up doing…

that with him?
