Ch 2 : The Ge'er's Escape

With a mere lift of his hand, a document appeared in his grasp.  “Is this what you mean, Village Chief?” He handed the document over. The Village Chief reached out, took it, opened it, and examined it carefully.  “Exactly this.” After reviewing it, he returned the document to the man and turned to address the villagers, clarifying the man's identity.  “Ling Cang, from the capital. His family has been in trade for generations.” The Clan Leader nodded upon hearing this.  “If that's the case, then the young man may reside temporarily in Yunxi Village.” “Thank you very much then,”  Divine Emperor Ling Cang said with a smile, cupping his hands in thanks. His smile was like a warm spring breeze, dazzling everyone present. “Might there be any uninhabited houses in the village? I would like to purchase one,”  Ling Cang asked with a smile. Before entering the mortal realm, he had observed this area; the scenery was excellent and it seemed a good place for living and...

Returning to the Room

Su Yu closed the door behind him and slumped onto the bed, his mind buzzing about the letter.

What would Mom say to me?

Across the room, Ji Yanli glanced up from his book, then shut it with a quiet snap.

"You’re back. What did he want?"

"Nothing."

Su Yu pressed his lips together, but his restless fingers betrayed his excitement.

Ji Yanli stood and crossed the room in two strides, sitting beside him.

His thumb brushed Su Yu’s cheek, leaving a faint red streak on the soft skin.

"You don’t look like it’s ‘nothing.’"

Since losing his memory, Ji Yanli had grown bolder with these small touches—and Su Yu had, unsettlingly, started to tolerate them.

He swatted the hand away.

"Keep groping me, and I’ll chop it off."

Undeterred,

Ji Yanli moved his grip to Su Yu’s nape, kneading lightly.

The body under his palm shivered.

"You’re my wife. Touch you, move you—do what you want. I’ll allow it."

The declaration was so grand it sounded like wedding vows.

Su Yu gagged.

"Stop being disgusting. I should record this and play it back when you regain your memory."

The thought of Ji Yanli’s usually aloof face cracking with embarrassment sent a thrill through him.

He yanked out his phone and opened the voice recorder.

"Go on. Say it again. Let’s preserve this for posterity."

Ji Yanli glanced at the blinking red icon.

The flat audio line spiked like a heartbeat monitor as he leaned in,

his voice rough with sleep:

"Su Yu is mine. Forever mine."

His gaze pinned Su Yu like a predator’s. "I’ll always look at you. You’ll only look at me. If you dare watch anyone else… I’ll lock you up where your eyes can’t stray."

The words rolled out, dark and possessive.

The audio line jumped erratically as Ji Yanli’s lips grazed the microphone, his breath scorching Su Yu’s skin.

Su Yu sat frozen, lips parted around a silent protest.

Then Ji Yanli’s mouth brushed his ear: "I want you to love me."

A wet lick traced Su Yu’s earlobe.

His phone tumbled onto the bedsheets as he clapped a hand over his ear. "Y-You—!"

His heart hammered. His body burned.

"You’re insane…"

Ji Yanli chuckled, pulling back. "I am. So don’t test me. Ever."

[HOLY SHIT WHEN DOES THE LOCKED-UP TROPE START??]
[CEO Ji, ruin him.]
[Su Yu’s expression is pissing me off (in a good way).]
[Or is it turning you on?]

Su Yu snatched his phone and stopped the recording.

Screw this!

He’d meant to mock Ji Yanli, not get ambushed by… whatever that was.

The man now sat innocently on the bed, smiling like a saint—a stark contrast to the feral warning seconds ago.

"Wife, it’s late. Let’s sleep."

The whiplash gave Su Yu whiplash. He yanked the blankets up to his chin and scooted to the edge. "Stay on your side."

Ji Yanli slid under the covers, his robe slipping to reveal half his chest. He propped his head on one hand. "I told you—I can’t sleep without you."

"Wife, you’re not taking me seriously."

Su Yu slapped a hand over his mouth. "Lights. Out. Now."

The makeshift "boundary" of blankets had vanished overnight. Instead, a warm body was glued to Su Yu’s side, an arm slung possessively over his chest.

Su Yu woke gasping.

He pried the limb off and turned—only to find Ji Yanli’s face inches from his, lashes casting shadows on his cheeks.

"Good morning, wife."

"Morning my ass. Move." Su Yu grabbed his phone.

10:00 AM.

Mia had blown it up with calls and texts since 8:00: "Where are you? The 2 PM meeting prep starts now!"

"We need to leave. Your meeting’s at two." He fired off a reply and kicked free of the sheets.

The discarded "boundary blanket" lay crumpled by his slippers. He chucked it onto the bed and stalked to the bathroom.

As he brushed his teeth, Ji Yanli materialized behind him, chin hooking over his shoulder.

"Wife, get me a toothbrush." His morning voice was unfairly smooth.

Su Yu spat out toothpaste. "Whaddya want, a gold-plated one? Get it yourselfff."

A hand appeared in his periphery—elegant, vein-traced, and utterly unharmed.

"My hand hurts from your slap yesterday… Can’t hold anything."

Su Yu rinsed, foam clinging to his lips. Ji Yanli’s gaze dropped.

Then—

A fleeting press of lips swiped the foam away.

Su Yu recoiled. "JI YANLI, YOU PERV!"

The slap echoed.

Ji Yanli’s mouth bloomed red.
