Chapter 148 Extra 4: "I Will Love You Forever" (Finale)

"Jinsui..."

A weak voice called from the study. Heart lurching, Nian Jinsui hurried over without a second thought.

There, sprawled across the bed, was Qin Chengyu—breathing heavily, drenched in sweat, his cheeks flushed a mesmerizing shade of pink. His eyes, glazed with desire, locked onto Nian Jinsui with unmistakable longing.

The intoxicating scent of Omega pheromones flooding the room? Undeniably his.

"Chengyu, how do you feel?" Nian Jinsui helped him sit up, voice laced with concern.

"Jinsui... I feel awful. Like I have a fever again..." Though secretly thrilled, Qin Chengyu hadn’t expected a secondary gender presentation. He genuinely thought he was ill.

"You’re undergoing a secondary gender shift. I can smell Omega pheromones." Nian Jinsui frowned, brushing damp hair from Qin Chengyu’s forehead. "It’s painful, especially for adult presentations, but you’ll have to endure it."

"You mean I’ve become an Omega?" Qin Chengyu’s eyes lit up with disbelief and joy. His dream had actually come true!

Seeing his discomfort, Nian Jinsui’s chest ached. "Yes. My Alpha pheromones might ease your symptoms." He released a calming scent.

Qin Chengyu buried his face in Nian Jinsui’s neck, inhaling deeply. "So this is your scent... It’s wonderful." Almost instantly, the pain dulled.

"Better?"

"Mm. And how do you find my scent?" Qin Chengyu’s lips curled mischievously against his skin.

Nian Jinsui hesitated, then admitted in a hushed tone, "...Sweet."

Those two syllables dissolved every ounce of Qin Chengyu’s suffering.

He likes it. He likes me.

Time to strike while the iron’s hot.

Nian Jinsui held him until his temperature stabilized, then gently pulled away. "Your heat will start soon. Omega suppressants differ from Alpha ones—I’ll buy some for you."

Qin Chengyu’s lashes fluttered down, hiding his scheming gaze. When he looked up again, his eyes were pools of vulnerability.

"Don’t leave yet. I don’t want to be alone... I still feel unwell."

How could Nian Jinsui refuse? "Alright. I’ll go later."

But Qin Chengyu’s fever spiked again, trapping Nian Jinsui at his side.

"Don’t abandon me..." Qin Chengyu clung to him, voice breaking.

"I’m just getting suppressants—"**

"I don’t want suppressants!" Qin Chengyu suddenly shoved him onto the bed, pinning him down. "I want you."

Before Nian Jinsui could react, scorching lips sealed over his.

His mind blanked.

Was this real? Did Qin Chengyu—

Out of love? Or just heat-induced delirium?

"Chengyu, you— Why—?" Nian Jinsui pushed him back, flustered.

Qin Chengyu refused to let go, arms locked around his neck. "Why did I kiss you?" He leaned closer, breath hot. "Because I love you."

Joy surged through Nian Jinsui—he felt the same—but doubt lingered. "But... you liked Ning Liang’an, didn’t you?"

"I never loved him!" Qin Chengyu’s grip tightened. "It’s always been you. Now answer me—do you love me too?"

Nian Jinsui hesitated. Qin Chengyu had colored his world in ways he’d never imagined. His feelings had long since crossed the line from brotherly care to something deeper. But this was all too sudden—

Qin Chengyu’s eyes dimmed. "You don’t." He pulled away, voice icy. "I’ll leave tomorrow. An Omega shouldn’t impose on an uninterested Alpha."

"No!" Panicked, Nian Jinsui grabbed his wrist. "Stay... Please."

"Unless you mean it, don’t give me false hope."

A calculated gambit. Qin Chengyu knew Nian Jinsui loved him—why waste time?

Today, he’d claim his heart.

"I do mean it!" Nian Jinsui blurted. "I love you. Stay with me."

"Really?" Qin Chengyu’s lashes trembled. "You’re not lying?"

Nian Jinsui cupped his face, resolve solidifying. "I love you. Let’s be together."

Qin Chengyu’s breath hitched. He leaned in, lips brushing Nian Jinsui’s ear.

"Then mark me."

"Chengyu..." Nian Jinsui stiffened. "A permanent mark? Do you understand what that means for an Omega?"

"I do." Qin Chengyu interlaced their fingers, gaze unwavering. "I want to be yours forever."

The raw devotion in his eyes shattered Nian Jinsui’s restraint.

He really loves me...

"Don’t you want me?" Qin Chengyu guided Nian Jinsui’s hand down his body, voice dripping with temptation. "I ache for you..."

Nian Jinsui’s control snapped.

From the moment he’d stepped into that room, the pheromones of his perfectly matched Omega had tormented him. How could he resist?

But Qin Chengyu wasn’t done.

"Jinsui..." He kissed him deeply, fingers tangling in his hair. "Jinsui—"**

Clothes scattered.

Just as Nian Jinsui moved to flip them, Qin Chengyu straddled him instead.

"Let me take care of you," he whispered, sinking down.

Nian Jinsui groaned, pulling him into a crushing embrace. "I’ll love you forever."

"And I’ll always be yours." Qin Chengyu clung to him, tears spilling.

Across two worlds, he’d finally found his purpose.

No matter the universe, no matter their designations—Qin Chengyu and Nian Jinsui were fate’s perfect match.
