SDS: Chapter 70

"The Capital's Top Beauty" Qin Corporation. "Mr. William, haven't you already met with President Qin? Is there something else you need here?" Tang Keyi maintained his last shred of patience as he faced William, who was scrutinizing  him without restraint. Tang Keyi thought to himself,  Could it be that he can't bear to part with Qin Zhiyan and wants to wait outside just to catch a few more glances of him? William withdrew his scrutinizing gaze, thinking that this little assistant was indeed good-looking.  He probably won Qin Zhiyan over with this face. Instead of answering,  William picked up the nameplate on the desk, glanced at it, and said "Tang Keyi? Your name is quite cute." Tang Keyi sneered inwardly.  Your intentions have been exposed by me. Don't even think about trying to cozy up to me. "Thank you so much for the compliment, Mr. William." Feeling Tang Keyi's obvious hostility, William simply assumed he was upset on Q...

Chapter 144 Finale: Destined to Be Your Perfect Match

Just as Nian Jinsui approached Qin Chengyu, the latter stood up and embraced him from behind.

Qin Chengyu lightly nipped at Nian Jinsui’s earlobe, his voice growing husky:

"Perfect timing. I wanted to try something too."

The slight tickle made Nian Jinsui shrink his neck reflexively.

He could already guess Qin Chengyu was planning some new mischief and nervously bit his lip.

"What do you want to try?"

Qin Chengyu’s hands slipped under Nian Jinsui’s shirt, settling at his waist, thumbs expertly finding the dimples above his hips.

With a firm grip, Qin Chengyu guided Nian Jinsui backward, pressing him against the desk.

"This."

After enduring the seven-day punishment, Nian Jinsui thought he could finally relax—but Qin Chengyu had other plans.

"Suisui, I promised you wouldn’t be able to get out of bed every single day. Not one day less."

Nian Jinsui: T_T

Time seemed to accelerate after that. Before he knew it, New Year’s Eve had arrived.

Qin Chengyu and Nian Jinsui had dinner with the Nian family and were now sitting together in the Qin estate’s courtyard, waiting for the countdown and fireworks.

"Chengyu, last New Year’s Eve, we watched the fireworks while soaking in the hot springs,"

Nian Jinsui reminisced.

"Mn."

Qin Chengyu adjusted Nian Jinsui’s scarf to block the cold breeze.

"We were so lucky—the fireworks exploded right above us. I wonder who set them off. We should thank them."

"No need."

Qin Chengyu replied with quiet pride.

Nian Jinsui blinked, then realized—

"Wait, you set off those fireworks?"

"They were for you."

Nian Jinsui’s eyes curved into crescents, brighter than the fireworks themselves.

"Chengyu, how are you this good to me?"

"Suisui, Happy New Year."

Qin Chengyu always had impeccable timing.

As soon as he spoke, dazzling fireworks burst across the night sky.

Another New Year—Nian Jinsui’s second in this world.

He remembered: in the original novel, this was when Nian Jinsui met his end.

Right on cue, Xi Lü’s voice chimed in:

[Congratulations, Host! You have completed all plotlines for the character Nian Jinsui in The Domineering CEO and the True/False Young Master!]

Nian Jinsui still had some concerns.

"But Xi Lü, in the novel, Nian Jinsui’s exit wasn’t the finale. Does that mean I don’t need to worry about the remaining plot?"

[With protagonists Ning Liang’an and Chu Heting’s relationship stable, system projections indicate the main storyline will proceed smoothly to its conclusion without host intervention.]

"What about Ye Kang? After Nian Jinsui’s exit, he still caused trouble for a while. Is that handled too?"

In the original plot, Ye Kang had betrayed Nian Jinsui early, concealing his own crimes.

But consumed by jealousy, he’d attempted to poison Ning Liang’an during graduation—

only to be thwarted by Chu Heting, who’d uncovered his collusion with Xiang Liumei.

[The Ye family has already been bankrupted by Qin Chengyu.]

Nian Jinsui: "..."

Never offend the ultimate villain.

The Ye family wasn’t insignificant in the capital, yet Nian Jinsui hadn’t heard a whisper about their downfall.

Clearly, Qin Chengyu had kept it from him deliberately.

Well, he’d pretend not to know.

He wouldn’t let anything jeopardize the hard-won bond between them.

[This system’s service period has ended. May the host cherish this second chance at life—and stop staying up late reading novels.]

Nian Jinsui: "..."

"Got it. It’s not like I have the energy to stay awake these days anyway..."

[This system declines to be fed dog food. If contacted for feedback, please rate five stars. Thank you.]

"...Fine."

After a beat of silence, Nian Jinsui tentatively asked,

"Xi Lü? Are you still there?"

Only stillness answered him.

The system was truly gone.

His new life had begun.

"Suisui, what are you thinking about?"

Qin Chengyu asked, noticing Nian Jinsui still staring blankly at the sky after the fireworks ended.

Nian Jinsui turned to him slowly, then gradually brightened.

"Chengyu, you used to always ask me who I liked. Why’d you stop?"

Qin Chengyu’s gaze dimmed slightly at the question.

"Because I never heard the answer I wanted from you."

"Why don’t you ask me now?"

Understanding dawned on Qin Chengyu. His heart leaped into his throat as he asked solemnly:

"Suisui… who do you like now?"

But Nian Jinsui suddenly scowled, launching into a tirade:

"Qin Chengyu! You’re so unreasonable sometimes—never listening, having zero self-control, not stopping when I say no… And you never trust me! You’re oversensitive, paranoid, and love bullying me—"

Just as Qin Chengyu’s heart began sinking, Nian Jinsui’s next words sent it soaring.

"—but I still can’t help loving you. In the past, now, and the future… the person I love has always been Qin Chengyu."

Overwhelmed, Qin Chengyu asked hoarsely,

"Suisui, can you say it again?"

Nian Jinsui repeated earnestly:

"I said—Qin Chengyu, I love you. I’ve always loved you. Only you."

On New Year’s Eve a year ago, Qin Chengyu had made a wish.

Now, it had come true.

Qin Chengyu pulled Nian Jinsui into his arms, nearly moved to tears.

"I love you, Suisui."

"Chengyu… what if I were an Alpha? Would you still love me?"

"Suisui, whether you’re an Alpha or Omega—I only want to be your perfect match."
