He couldn’t stop the man’s movements.
Su Yu watched as Ji Yanli’s Adam’s apple bobbed several times, the liquid in the glass drained completely—including the powder floating on top.
“Are you insane?!”
Su Yu stared in disbelief, his eyes round as saucers.
He saw it.
He saw the powder, and he still drank it!
[Damn, Bro’s been waiting for this day, huh?]
[Even if wifey served rat poison, this man would chug it.]
[Bro’s inner thoughts: Hell yeah! (grabs cup and downs it)]
[Go for it! Go for it! With that drug, they’re gonna go at it for three days straight!]
The last comment snapped Su Yu back to reality.
The man in front of him set the glass down lazily, his gaze fixed on Su Yu like a predator eyeing its prey.
“Y-You… calm down first. Look clearly—I’m Su Yu, the one you hate the most.”
Ji Yanli chuckled, his voice low.
“Oh, I see you. Su Yu. The useless little trash of the Su family.”
“Trash your grandpa!”
Su Yu gritted his teeth and began inching backward toward the door.
Ji Yanli saw right through him, advancing step by step.
The sound of his shoes against the floor seemed to sync with Su Yu’s frantic heartbeat.
“A gift like this… should be enjoyed together, don’t you think?”
Su Yu’s back hit the cold door.
His hands fumbled desperately behind him, rattling the handle—locked.
His jaw clenched. “You knew I’d come tonight?”
Ji Yanli smiled, as if amused. “How could I? I’m completely innocent here.”
Innocent my ass!
If you’re so innocent, why’d you lock the door?
Afraid some twink would break in and ride you at midnight?!
The man closed in, his lips brushing Su Yu’s ear.
Hot breath, laced with the scent of red wine, ghosted over his neck.
Then a large hand slid under his suit jacket, tugging his shirt free.
The moment those fingers grazed the sensitive skin of his waist, Su Yu shuddered violently.
“You went through the trouble of giving me this ‘present.’ It’d be rude not to savor it properly.”
“Get the hell away from me!”
Su Yu thrashed, but those arms trapped him effortlessly. The mingled aromas of alcohol and sandalwood enveloped him.
As those lips drew nearer, his eyes widened.
He raised his hand—and slapped Ji Yanli across the face.
This time, the strike was fiercer, the sound sharp and echoing in the room.
[Bro, you’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?]
[Just admit you like getting slapped.]
[Y’all, stop calling him out—he’s gonna break character and laugh.]
Su Yu’s palm trembled.
Ji Yanli caught his wrist and pressed the stinging hand back against his own cheek.
“Such a weak slap. Didn’t they feed you today?”
Slap my ass!
Su Yu yanked his wrist free.
He’d never imagined Ji Yanli was like this. All their past clashes, all those veiled insults—he’d genuinely thought Ji Yanli looked down on him.
But now… Did Ji Yanli actually enjoy it when he hit him?
Does he… like me?
Su Yu’s mind spun. He’d always seen Ji Yanli as a rival.
The young master of the Su family had a long-standing crush on the gentle, refined Song Yanchu—everyone knew that.
But Song Yanchu’s heart belonged to Ji Yanli.
Every time Su Yu saw Song Yanchu clinging to Ji Yanli, he’d grind his teeth in secret.
And Ji Yanli? That bastard had been a thorn in his side since childhood.
As the Su family’s illegitimate son, Su Yu had no status—nothing in common with the esteemed heir of the Ji family.
Yet Ji Yanli seemed obsessed with messing with him.
Su Yu negotiated a business deal? Ji Yanli stole it.
Su Yu attended a banquet? Ji Yanli showed up in the same outfit.
Su Yu got mocked? Ji Yanli watched with a smirk.
Su Yu reached for a dish? Ji Yanli spun the lazy Susan away.
How the hell could someone like that actually like him?!
Su Yu snapped back to the present. Ji Yanli’s left cheek bore a vivid red mark, the outline of fingers still visible.
“Open the door. I’m going home.”
“You think you can ‘gift’ me this state and just walk away?”
Ji Yanli’s breathing was ragged. He pressed closer, grinding against Su Yu’s thigh.
Through the fabric, the heat felt scalding. Su Yu shoved him away and bolted to the other side of the room.
No. If this keeps up, my ass is done for.
My chastity belongs to Song Yanchu!
But Ji Yanli wasn’t letting him go.
He turned, stalking forward with that obscene bulge on full display, his expression darkly possessive.
Su Yu’s gaze flicked downward.
Holy shit, the audacity—flaunting it like that?!
[Why the censorship?! I demand to see the goods!]
[IS THIS EVEN ALLOWED ON STREAM?!]
[What the hell does this man EAT to get that—]
[Oh look, a bed. How convenient.]
No. No no no.
As that thing drew nearer, Su Yu knew he had to act.
His mind raced, scanning the room for options.
Maybe the drug messed with Ji Yanli’s brain—but I’m still sober.
In a flash, he darted past Ji Yanli, snatched the glass he’d spiked earlier, and smashed it onto the floor.
The shattering noise was deafening.
Liquid splashed everywhere.
BANG!
“The hell?! Who locked this door—I nearly broke my shoulder!”
“So? Am I a lifesaver or what?!”
Within seconds, two men burst in—one holding a camera, the other with a phone flashlight, both grinning like idiots.
“…Holy shit.”
“…Holy shit.”
The synchronized curses came from Shen Le (young master of the Shen family) and Lin Yanjun (heir of the Lin family). They gaped at the scene:
Ji Yanli and Su Yu, too close, clothes disheveled, faces flushed, breathing heavily.
Good news: They got footage.
Bad news: It’s their bro getting exposed.
With outsiders present, Su Yu finally felt safe.
He bolted toward his unlucky friends, dragging them away—leaving Ji Yanli alone in the room.
Bodyguards rushed in, spotting the suspicious liquid and broken glass.
“Young Master, are you alright?!”
Ji Yanli’s gaze lingered on the doorway. “Call the doctor.”
A guard noticed the handprint on his cheek and paled.
“Young Master! Your face—should we hunt those three down?!”
Ji Yanli touched the mark, the phantom scent of Su Yu’s palm still lingering.
“No need.” A faint smile curled his lips. “This is a reward.”
The guard blinked, utterly lost.
Reward? What reward?
Since when is getting slapped a reward?!
