Qin Chengyu pressed his lips together subtly,
forcing himself to look away from Nian Jin sui’s exposed lower back.
"Heh."
Nian Jinsui didn’t believe him.
He thought Qin Chengyu was just being nice and unwilling to concede.
Unwilling to back down, Nian Jin sui huffed,
"Sure, your body is well-trained, but… but…"
His voice trailed off as he struggled to come up with something.
Then it hit him.
Nian Jin sui’s eyes lit up.
"But this, you don’t have!"
Turning around, he tugged down the waistband of his swim trunks slightly,
revealing the small dimples of Venus at his lower back.
The sudden movement startled Qin Chengyu, but fortunately,
Nian Jin sui only lowered the band a little to show his dimples,
stopping before revealing anything inappropriate.
"Look at these,"
Nian Jin sui declared proudly.
"These dimples of Venus are a hallmark of a great figure. Do you have them?"
Though he knew they were more common in Omegas, Nian Jin sui didn’t care.
Qin Chengyu didn’t know that. As long as it impressed him, it worked!
Qin Chengyu’s gaze fell on the small indentations on Nian Jin sui’s lower back,
his attention wandering further down.
His eyes heated as they traced the curve of Nian Jin sui’s back and the soft line partially hidden by the swim trunks.
Nian Jin sui turned back around, adjusting his waistband and waiting for an answer.
"I’m asking if you have dimples of Venus. Why aren’t you answering?"
Disappointed to have his view cut short, Qin Chengyu lowered his gaze and muttered,
"No, I don’t."
Seeing Qin Chengyu’s expression falter slightly, Nian Jin sui finally felt victorious.
"Ha! Mine are natural. You can’t envy your way into having them!"
Qin Chengyu: …
Where did he get the idea I was envious?
Nian Jin sui glanced at Qin Chengyu’s torso and hesitated before blurting out,
"Hey, uh… can I feel your abs?"
His request was simple and innocent.
He just missed the firm sensation of having toned abs from his past life.
Qin Chengyu lifted his eyes, considering the request for barely a second before responding,
"Sure."
Before Nian Jin sui could celebrate, Qin Chengyu added smoothly,
"But in exchange, I want to feel your dimples of Venus."
Nian Jin sui froze, clearly caught off guard.
Who here has ulterior motives? It’s pretty obvious.
For a moment, Nian Jin sui hesitated.
The area around his lower back was quite sensitive, and he wasn’t entirely comfortable with the idea.
"Jin sui,"
Qin Chengyu’s calm voice interrupted his thoughts,
"Are you worried about something?"
His gaze held a subtle undercurrent, his intentions carefully veiled.
Nian Jin sui steadied himself, convincing himself there was no ill intent.
After all, Qin Chengyu probably just wanted to check them out of curiosity.
"Alright," he relented.
"Deal."
Qin Chengyu’s lips curved upward, betraying his pleasure.
Fortunately, Nian Jin sui was too focused on placing his hand on Qin Chengyu’s abs to notice.
Nian Jin sui prodded here and there, giving a thorough appraisal.
"As a fitness instructor, I can confirm—your training is solid. These muscles have great elasticity."
"My turn now,"
Qin Chengyu said, his voice dipping slightly.
Nian Jin sui, true to his word, turned around and tugged his waistband down slightly again,
revealing the small dimples on his lower back.
His skin, still damp from the pool, glistened faintly in the sunlight, like a freshly harvested pearl.
Qin Chengyu’s eyes lingered on Nian Jin sui’s back before he reached out.
The moment his hand touched Nian Jin sui’s lower back,
a shiver coursed through Nian Jin sui, the sensation tingling straight to his core.
Nian Jin sui stiffened, trying to shake off the strange discomfort,
but Qin Chengyu didn’t stop. Instead, his thumb began to trace circles over the dimples.
Startled, Nian Jin sui pulled away abruptly,
spinning around to face Qin Chengyu and yanking his swim trunks up to his navel.
"Why were you touching me like that? That was so creepy!"
Qin Chengyu withdrew his hand, his voice intentionally subdued.
"I was just envious, that’s all."
"Well, envy or not, you’re not touching again!"
Nian Jin sui, flustered, huffed before diving back into the pool to escape the awkwardness.
Qin Chengyu rubbed his thumb, as if savoring the lingering sensation, and murmured huskily:
"Perfect fit."
When his hands had rested on Nian Jin sui’s lower back,
his thumbs aligned perfectly with the dimples, creating a grip that felt almost made-to-measure.
Time flew by, and soon it was nearing the end of the semester.
With finals looming, Nian Jin sui was buried in study materials curated by Qin Chengyu.
After hours of cramming, he slumped back in his chair, glaring at Qin Chengyu, who sat on the sofa with a laptop.
"Don’t you need to review?"
"No,"
Qin Chengyu replied without looking up.
"I’ve memorized it all."
Nian Jin sui sighed dramatically.
"Of course, you’re the genius supervillain. You’re amazing."
"If only I had Doraemon’s memory bread," he muttered wistfully.
"Take a break, Jin sui,"
Qin Chengyu suggested, dialing for a servant to bring snacks and drinks.
Staring at Qin Chengyu, Nian Jin sui suddenly declared,
"Chengyu, you should aim for first place in the finals."
Qin Chengyu looked surprised, meeting Nian Jin sui’s serious gaze.
After a pause, he nodded. "Alright."
Nian Jin sui blinked, taken aback by the immediate agreement.
He’d only suggested it because the third year was ending,
and the upcoming finals were likely Qin Chengyu’s last chance to fully showcase his academic prowess.
"You didn’t have to agree so quickly,"
Nian Jin sui said hesitantly.
"It’s fine. Anything you ask, I’ll agree to."
Meeting Qin Chengyu’s deep, unreadable gaze, Nian Jin sui felt a faint sense of unease.
It was clear Qin Chengyu trusted him deeply now.
But the day when Qin Chengyu would return to the Qin family was also drawing closer.
