"Believe it or not" 

Li Mingxing said with no pleasant expression for Han Qiuqiu, then turned and walked away.

"Li Mingxing seems quite concerned about you" 

Han Qiuqiu remarked, glancing at Tang Keyi.

"Oh my, is Young Master Han jealous?" 

Tang Keyi teased intentionally.


"Heh, who's jealous of you?" 

Han Qiuqiu rolled his eyes.

Tang Keyi was just about to continue teasing Han Qiuqiu when the atmosphere suddenly became lively.


"Chu Minmin is here!"

"Where? Where! I want to see what the Capital's Number One Beauty looks like!"

"Wonder if she's as beautiful as Miss Tang!"

Amidst the crowd's chatter. Chu Minmin made a grand entrance, surrounded by her girlfriends.

However, the expected chorus of praise and admiring glances did not materialize.

Han Qiuqiu and Tang Keyi observed Chu Minmin from a distance.

Han Qiuqiu shook his head, tutting softly. 

"Chu Minmin has essentially lost to you tonight."

After glancing at Chu Minmin a couple of times, Tang Keyi lost interest. 

"By the way, who gave Chu Minmin this title of Capital's Number One Beauty?"

"Probably just a flattering remark someone made at her coming-of-age ceremony. It spread from there. It's not like there was an official competition," 

Han Qiuqiu said. 


"In my opinion, the Chu family probably stirred things up behind the scenes. They care a lot about reputation."


"I'm not interested in that. Qin Zhiyan is so late. He probably won't come," 

Tang Keyi said, peering towards the entrance. 

"If he doesn't come soon, I'm leaving..."


No sooner had Tang Keyi spoken than a familiar figure entered his line of sight.


Han Qiuqiu spread his hands. "Speak of the devil."

Seeing Qin Zhiyan's gaze sweep across the room, Tang Keyi instinctively shrank back, hiding behind Han Qiuqiu.


As soon as Qin Zhiyan entered, his eyes scanned the entire hall, searching for Tang Keyi. 

However, he only saw Han Qiuqiu in the distance. 

The hem of a dress, that impossible to hide entirely behind Han Qiuqiu didn't capture his attention at all. 

His gaze slid right past it.


Qin Zhiyan also couldn't hear Tang Keyi's inner thoughts. 

Perhaps Tang Keyi was hiding further away, or perhaps he hadn't come at all?

Given his temperament, he probably wouldn't skip it.

Qin Zhiyan's arrival quickly drew everyone's attention.

Chu Minmin couldn't help but smile.

Qin Zhiyan's coming meant he was at least somewhat interested in her.

Not only Chu Minmin thought this, but others inevitably had similar thoughts.

After all, Tang Keyi wasn't here, and this was Chu Minmin's event. 

Anyone would think Qin Zhiyan had come for Chu Minmin.
