SDS: Chapter 57
"So This Is How Kissing Feels…"
Tang Keyi turned his head stiffly to look at Qin Zhiyan.
No matter how beautiful the scenery outside was, it couldn’t compare to the beauty of Qin Zhiyan’s eyes.
“Do you like it? This gift.”
Tang Keyi nodded, flashing a radiant smile:
“I love it!”
Gazing into Tang Keyi’s sparkling eyes, which seemed to hold a galaxy of stars,
Qin Zhiyan’s throat moved slightly, and ripples of emotion shimmered in his eyes.
Qin Zhiyan’s dark eyes were as deep as the night, impervious to any worldly distractions—
except for one sweet candy that had melted into them.
[At a time like this, not kissing would be unreasonable.]
[Should I just pounce on him?]
[Yes! My wife prepared such a huge surprise for me—of course, I should be the one to initiate the kiss!]
Unfortunately, before Tang Keyi could act, Qin Zhiyan’s large hand was already wrapping around his waist, pulling him close in an instant.
His other hand cradled the back of Tang Keyi’s neck as his lips descended upon those long-coveted lips.
Tang Keyi abruptly tightened his arms around the man before him.
His heart felt as if it had been squeezed—skipping a beat before racing wildly.
[So this is what kissing feels like… It’s so… amazing…]
Qin Zhiyan lowered his eyelids, savoring the sweetness of this candy with even greater tenderness.
It really was sweet.
——
Han Qiuqiu waited and waited, but Tang Keyi never showed up.
Just as he was about to call and ask, the sound of fireworks outside caught his attention.
“It’s not even midnight yet. Why are there fireworks?”
Puzzled, Han Qiuqiu walked to the window and looked out—only to see every outdoor display screen lit up with the words,
“Happy Birthday, Tang Keyi.”
The corner of Han Qiuqiu’s mouth twitched.
When he glanced up at the sky, even the fireworks were shaped like hearts and candies.
He opened the window and scanned the surroundings.
Every commercial LED screen on the street had been customized for Tang Keyi’s birthday.
Judging by the scale, the entire city was probably plastered with birthday wishes for Tang Keyi.
On New Year’s Eve,
the only person who could pull off such a grand gesture was Qin Zhiyan—Han Qiuqiu couldn’t think of anyone else.
After tonight, all the previous gossip would likely vanish without a trace.
“Guess I don’t need to keep waiting.”
Han Qiuqiu checked his phone and muttered to himself,
“That guy Tang Keyi must be so overjoyed he forgot all about me—didn’t even send a message.”
Without hesitation, Han Qiuqiu packed up his things and left the private room.
Unexpectedly, the moment he stepped out, he ran straight into Qin Yulin—
their first encounter since that drunken night at the resort.
Han Qiuqiu was just about to say Happy New Year to avoid awkwardness when the door of the opposite private room swung open.
A young man rushed over and looped his arm through Qin Yulin’s, smiling coyly.
“Young Master Qin, I’ve been waiting so long the flowers have wilted.”
Han Qiuqiu had heard that Qin Yulin had recently changed boyfriends again, but he hadn’t expected to run into them so soon.
He was about to pretend he hadn’t seen anything and walk past when a single glance froze him in place.
That face…
It bore a fifty percent resemblance to his own…
Han Qiuqiu’s expression instantly turned icy.
He shot Qin Yulin a mocking, disdainful glare.
Meeting Han Qiuqiu’s gaze, Qin Yulin calmly freed his arm and said to the newcomer,
“Go inside first. I need to talk to a friend.”
The young man also glanced at Han Qiuqiu, seeming slightly surprised, but in the end, he asked nothing and obediently returned to the private room.
Only after the person left did Han Qiuqiu speak.
“Qin Yulin, are you trying to disgust me—or yourself?”
Qin Yulin feigned confusion, his deep eyes fixed on Han Qiuqiu.
“What do you mean, Young Master Han? I’m just dating someone—how is that disgusting?”
“Don’t play dumb with me.”
Han Qiuqiu pointed at Qin Yulin rudely.
“Don’t worry, Young Master Han. I won’t bother you anymore. As for my affairs… you don’t need to concern yourself.”
Han Qiuqiu glared at Qin Yulin a few more times, but seeing his indifferent expression, he finally strode past him and left.
Qin Yulin turned around, watching Han Qiuqiu’s retreating figure.
Unconsciously, he raised his hand, tracing the outline of Han Qiuqiu’s silhouette in the air—as if he could touch him from afar.
Only when Han Qiuqiu’s figure disappeared from sight did Qin Yulin reluctantly lower his hand and return to the private room.
——
Empire State Building.
Qin Zhiyan took out a velvet box from his pocket and handed it to Tang Keyi.
“Birthday gift.”
Tang Keyi immediately opened it and found a bracelet inside—similar to the one he had given Qin Zhiyan, but the small charm on it was clearly much more exquisite.
Upon closer inspection, the charm’s luster unmistakably revealed it was made of platinum, far more expensive than the little silver charm Tang Keyi had given Qin Zhiyan.
Engraved on the charm were the letters “Q” and “T,” with a small heart in the middle—embedded with a heart-shaped ruby.
“Do you like it?” Qin Zhiyan asked softly.
Tang Keyi nodded vigorously—more than just liking it, he was utterly enamored.
This was a couple’s item with Qin Zhiyan!
“Put it on for me!”
Tang Keyi extended his hand.
As Qin Zhiyan fastened the bracelet for him, he said,
“I made this myself too. I’m glad you like it.”
Hearing this, Tang Keyi examined it again and marveled,
“Your craftsmanship is way better than mine. If you hadn’t said so, I’d have thought it was custom-made.”
“It’s my exclusive custom design—just for you.”
Tang Keyi pursed his lips into a faint smile, though inside he was screaming like an excited groundhog.
[Ah! How can Qin Zhiyan be so good at sweet talk?!]
Qin Zhiyan’s eyes softened with affection as he pulled Tang Keyi into his arms.
That night, Qin Zhiyan posted his first-ever WeChat Moments update.
“You are the candy the heavens gave me.”
Accompanying the post was a photo of him and Tang Keyi—Tang Keyi making a silly face while Qin Zhiyan leaned in to kiss his cheek.
The atmosphere was playful yet sweet.
It perfectly captured the saying:
You act wild, and I smile.
