"Don’t be afraid, Suisui."

Qin Chengyu pulled the trembling Nian Jinsui into a tight embrace, gently stroking his hair as he murmured softly, 

"I won’t do it."

He had already braced himself for rejection from the start. 

Nian Jinsui’s agreement had been an unexpected delight—

but if Nian Jinsui was afraid, how could he possibly force it?

There would be plenty of time later. 

What he wanted was Nian Jinsui’s heart, and he was willing to wait.

Seeing that Qin Chengyu truly had no intention of continuing, 

Nian Jinsui’s pounding heart finally began to settle.

The two held each other quietly until Nian Jinsui’s trembling subsided. 

Only then did Qin Chengyu release him, lying down beside him instead.

Nian Jinsui glanced at the clock on the wall—it was already past midnight. 

The "Obedience to Every Word" punishment had finally come to an end.

He let out a weary sigh. This day had been nothing short of nerve-wracking.

"Suisui."

"Hm?" 

Nian Jinsui turned to Qin Chengyu, meeting his dark, bottomless eyes—like whirlpools threatening to pull him under.

"Can Suisui help me…"

Nian Jinsui’s lashes fluttered slightly. 

"How… do you want me to help?"

Qin Chengyu leaned in, his scorching breath brushing against Nian Jinsui’s ear as he whispered:

"Use your legs."

Nian Jinsui’s face burned. 

After a long silence, he finally answered in a voice so quiet it was barely audible:

"Okay."

This time, it had nothing to do with punishment—only sincerity.







In the private hospital room, 

Lin Shuquan, Nian Jinsui, and Ning Liang’an gathered around the bed, 

where Nian Yixin cradled a newborn baby in his arms.

"Quan-ge, you did keep an eye on everything this time, right? She wasn’t swapped again, was she?" 

Nian Yixin asked worriedly.

That’s right—the youngest member of the Nian family had arrived. 

A baby girl.

Lin Shuquan chuckled helplessly, reassuring him for the umpteenth time:

Liang’an replied cheerfully.

Nian Jinsui nodded in agreement. 

"Dad, have you and Father decided on a name for her yet?"

"Quan-ge and I have already discussed it. Jinsui, your name represents smoothness and success, Liang’an’s name represents peace and safety… and for your sister, I hope she’ll be happy and joyful her entire life—"

Nian Jinsui eagerly cut in: 

"So her name is Nian Kuaikai (Happy & Joyful)!"

Nian Yixin hastily corrected him: 

"It’s Nian Lexin (Happy Heart)!"

Nian Jinsui: "Oh."

Lin Shuquan smiled. 

"Our family will always be safe, successful, and full of happiness."

"Mhm! Father’s right!"

As the family chatted harmoniously, enveloped in warmth, Nian Jinsui suddenly felt his eyes grow hot.

He quietly turned away, pretending to pour himself a glass of water so no one would notice his emotional state.

"Xi Lü, thank you," 

Nian Jinsui silently communicated with the system.

"Chengyu, I feel… really fortunate."

"I’ll make you even happier, Suisui."
