Chapter 127 "Gege, I Feel So Miserable."

Of course, Qin Chengyu wanted nothing more than to pull Nian Jinsui into his arms, bury his face in his neck, and inhale his scent like a man possessed—to kiss him until he went weak all over, completely at his mercy.

But he was afraid of making his Suisui cry. What if he ignored him again? What if he got angry, what if he started to hate him?

What Qin Chengyu wanted was Nian Jinsui’s affection.

Nian Jinsui’s body, Nian Jinsui’s heart—every last strand of his hair—could only belong to Qin Chengyu. No one else was allowed to so much as glance at him.

Nian Jinsui felt unnerved under that intense gaze but forced himself to stay calm. "I was just passing by and thought I’d check in. Don’t get the wrong idea—I wasn’t specifically here for you."

"Then now that Suisui has seen me, are you leaving?"

Hah!

I came all this way, and he’s not even going to beg me to stay?

Does he expect me to say it myself?

Not a chance!

"Yep, I’m leaving now." Nian Jinsui deliberately put on an icy expression, nodded, and turned to go.

But the next second, Qin Chengyu’s arms wrapped around him from behind.

"Gege is so cruel," Qin Chengyu murmured, switching to that infuriatingly tender address again.

The heat of Qin Chengyu’s breath against the nape of his neck made Nian Jinsui shiver instinctively. But remembering Qin Chengyu’s current state—how an Omega’s pheromones could soothe him—Nian Jinsui relaxed his shoulders slightly, tilting his head down just enough to silently release a faint trace of his scent.

"If I were really cruel, I wouldn’t have come in the first place," Nian Jinsui muttered under his breath.

Qin Chengyu noticed the subtle gesture, his lips curving into a faint smile. Of course his Suisui couldn’t bear to leave him like this.

The delicate, intoxicating fragrance curled around him, and Qin Chengyu couldn’t resist pressing his lips to Nian Jinsui’s neck, trailing a line of featherlight kisses along his sensitive skin.

Nian Jinsui’s heartbeat quickened, his lips pressing together nervously. But after a long moment, Qin Chengyu still didn’t do anything more.

"Why aren’t you…?" Nian Jinsui couldn’t help but prompt him.

Instead of answering, Qin Chengyu tightened his embrace, resting his chin on Nian Jinsui’s shoulder with a pitiful whine. "But I’m scared gege will get mad at me."

Nian Jinsui gritted his teeth. This bastard—acting all innocent after getting exactly what he wanted! "Fine, then I’m leaving."

Qin Chengyu wasn’t worried. He chuckled lowly, his voice a velvet murmur. "Gege, now that you’re here, do you really think I’d let you go? You know better than that."

Nian Jinsui wanted to cry. Of course he knew!

"It’s rare for gege to come to me like this. I’m… very happy." Qin Chengyu nuzzled against Nian Jinsui’s neck like an overgrown, obedient wolf.

"Then why didn’t you take suppressants?" Nian Jinsui asked. "Aren’t you suffering right now?"

"I am. But when it gets like this, I miss gege even more. I like this feeling. And now that you’re here, I don’t feel bad anymore."

Nian Jinsui was speechless. This guy really has some masochistic tendencies—you can’t judge him by normal logic.

With that thought, the last remnants of his anger quietly dissolved.

But he still couldn’t resist needling Qin Chengyu. "If you didn’t want suppressants, you could’ve just found another Omega. Wasn’t that your grandfather’s plan for you?"

Qin Chengyu laughed. "Gege, why do you sound so jealous? You know the answer—there’s no one but you."

"Then… pick one. Suppressants, or… me."

Nian Jinsui felt his face heat up the moment the words left his mouth. It took every ounce of his courage to say it.

Qin Chengyu’s eyes lit up instantly. His hand slid down, interlacing their fingers tightly.

"I’ll always pick gege. Only you."

The deep, magnetic whisper sent a shiver down Nian Jinsui’s spine, electric and overwhelming. Combined with the thick haze of Qin Chengyu’s pheromones filling the room, Nian Jinsui’s legs finally gave out, forcing him to lean heavily against Qin Chengyu.

Qin Chengyu half-carried, half-guided him to the bed, sitting him down gently.

"Gege smells so good," he murmured, burying his face in the crook of Nian Jinsui’s neck.

"Shut up. Don’t say such embarrassing things," Nian Jinsui snapped, turning his face away—though his ears were burning.

"Gege, I feel awful."

"Whose fault is that? You chose not to take suppressants. Serves you right." Nian Jinsui, ever allergic to romance, refused to indulge him.

Qin Chengyu: "…"

"Gege’s mouth really is something else," he sighed, tilting Nian Jinsui’s face back toward him and brushing their lips together. "So sharp… but so soft when I kiss it."

Nian Jinsui’s lashes fluttered. "If you’re suffering so much, why are you wasting time talking? I’m right here—"

"If gege is willing, how could I refuse?"

Nian Jinsui turned slightly, letting Qin Chengyu pull him flush against his chest from behind. A heartbeat later, warm lips pressed against his scent gland.

……

With the stabilizing effect of Omega pheromones, Qin Chengyu’s discomfort eased significantly.

But he still held Nian Jinsui close, forehead resting against his back as he caught his breath.

Once the lingering tremors in his body subsided, Nian Jinsui asked softly, "Are you feeling better, Chengyu?"

"Mn. But I…" Qin Chengyu hesitated. "I still want…"

"Want what?" Nian Jinsui pressed, instantly suspicious. If Qin Chengyu was being this hesitant, it had to be something shameless.
