Chapter 57 What Does It Feel Like to Like Someone?

Before Nian Jin sui could figure out how to explain, Xilü’s voice rang in his mind.

[Friendly Reminder: This month, the host’s harm score towards Qin Cheng yu is 60 points—40 points for physical harm and 20 points for psychological harm. Congratulations on meeting the monthly assessment criteria for harming Qin Cheng yu.]

[Please continue your efforts and aim for greater achievements.]

"Uh... Xilü, don’t you think this is a bit disrespectful to Qin Cheng yu?”

He recalled that the previous month’s score had been 30 points for physical harm and 10 points for psychological harm.

What additional harm had Qin Cheng yu suffered this time?

A sudden chill ran through Nian Jin sui.

Could it be that Qin Cheng luo had attacked Qin Cheng yu again?

Looking anxiously at Qin Cheng yu, Nian Jin sui asked,

“Did Qin Cheng luo lose it again? Did he hurt you?”

“I’m fine…”

Qin Cheng yu slowly raised his hand.

“Just a small injury…”

Meanwhile, Qin Cheng luo, who was being calmed down in the lounge by the staff:

I’m the one who suffered the biggest emotional blow here…

“You’re bleeding!”

Nian Jin sui exclaimed, his voice filled with a mix of anger

and concern as he saw the large cut on Qin Cheng yu’s hand.

“That Qin Cheng luo really needs a lesson.

You just recovered from your last wound, and now this happens again.

I’m not letting you meet him next time.”

In his panic, Nian Jin sui didn’t stop to question why Qin Cheng yu’s injury would count towards his harm score.

After all, he hadn’t been present.

This harm shouldn’t have had anything to do with him.

“Jin sui, don’t worry. It’s already stopped bleeding.”

Qin Cheng yu’s calm reassurance, paired with Nian Jin sui’s anxious expression,

dispelled much of the gloom in his heart.

Only Qin Cheng yu knew how furious he had been when he heard Nian Jin sui say he was

“Chu He ting’s boyfriend” and invite others to their hypothetical wedding.

It was at that moment he realized.

His possessiveness over Nian Jin sui was growing stronger and stronger.

He didn’t want anyone else around Nian Jin sui.

He didn’t want anyone else to steal his attention.

The only person who should stand by Nian Jin sui’s side was him.

And the only one Nian Jin sui should look at—was also him.

If Nian Jin sui had looked up at that moment, he would have seen the deep,

almost obsessive desire in Qin Cheng yu’s eyes.

It was nearly maddening.

Unfortunately, Nian Jin sui’s attention was entirely on Qin Cheng yu’s injury.

“Let’s move quickly, We’ll have Xiao Liu take us to a clinic to treat your wound."

"Jin sui, don’t rush. Your foot still isn’t fully healed; you can’t strain it.

My wound has stopped bleeding, so it’s fine to go slow.

I’ve already messaged Xiao Liu, and he’ll come pick us up here."

Qin Cheng yu’s mind remained fixed on Nian Jin sui’s fractured foot, which hadn’t fully recovered.

"Alright."

Nian Jin sui could only stop walking.

Standing beside him, Qin Cheng yu’s gaze lingered on Nian Jin sui’s flushed cheeks, tinted red from drinking.

"Jin sui, what does it feel like to like someone?"

Hearing this, Nian Jin sui froze slightly.

Though he had lived two lifetimes and never liked anyone,

he had seen enough TV dramas and read enough novels to get the gist.

"To like someone means you have an inexplicable desire to treat them well,

to see them happy because their happiness makes you happy. And...

you want to stay by their side, to always be with them. Something like that, I think..."

Suddenly realizing something, Nian Jin sui raised his head and studied Qin Cheng yu with a teasing look.

"Why are you asking this? Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for someone?"

Qin Cheng yu averted his gaze.

"I was just curious."

"Oh..."

Nian Jin sui didn’t doubt him.

After all, in the novels, Qin Cheng yu never liked anyone,

and he hadn’t shown any special interest in anyone so far either.

Just then, a sedan came to a steady stop in front of them. Xiao Liu had arrived.

Nian Jin sui opened the car door first and climbed in, sliding to the inside seat.

Seeing Qin Cheng yu still standing there, he urged,

"Cheng yu, what are you standing there for? Get in the car."

"Okay."

Qin Cheng yu’s gaze gradually took on a sense of determination.

He understood now.

He liked Nian Jin sui.

------

Ning Liang an had just finished work and returned to the entrance of his alleyway when he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

It was because of the familiar figure under the dim yellow light not far away.

Chu He ting also sensed Ning Liang an’s gaze.

He turned his head, smiling faintly as he waved.

Ning Liang an felt his heartbeat quicken,

forcing him to take a deep breath to calm himself before he slowly walked toward Chu He ting.

"Young Master Chu, long time no see. What brings you here today?"

Chu He ting lowered his gaze,

meeting Ning Liang an's eyes briefly before both of them tactfully looked away the next moment.

Instead of answering, Chu He ting said,

"He jun told me you would come to thank me in person.

But I waited for a long time, and you never came."

Ning Liang an was momentarily at a loss for words.

After a pause, he replied,

"That’s what Second Young Master Chu said;

I never promised him anything.

But since I’ve run into you today, I’ll take this chance to thank you.

Thank you for your help. I’m doing well at the academy now."

"Good, as long as you’re doing well."

Chu He ting’s smile was gentle, his voice soft.

Ning Liang an’s gaze landed on Chu He ting, noticing his formal suit.

He had probably just come from some banquet.

Suddenly, an idea struck Ning Liang an.

He let out a quiet laugh and asked,

"Young Master Chu, why didn’t you leave behind your shoe?"

"What?"

Chu He ting was momentarily confused.

With a light smile, Ning Liang an explained,

"At this hour, dressed like that in this shabby alleyway, don’t you think it’s like Cinderella running away at midnight?"

Ning Liang an’s fair complexion, bright eyes, and radiant smile seemed to glow under the dim yellow light,

as if he were an ethereal white flower blooming in the night—elegant, refined, and untouched by the world.

Chu He ting couldn’t help but lose himself in the moment
