Chapter 26 Giving Nian Jin a Rub on His Bruise

Nian Jin Sui’s tired and weak appearance caught Qin Cheng Yu’s attention, causing him to frown slightly.

When Qin Cheng Yu turned to leave, Nian Jin Sui assumed he was going back to his room.

To his surprise, Qin Cheng Yu went into the bathroom, returning with two dry towels and a hairdryer.

“Young Master Nian, do you experience this kind of symptom often?”

Qin Cheng Yu asked while placing the items by the bedside.

He squatted down and used a towel to gently wipe the water stains on the plaster bandage of Nian Jin Sui’s right leg.

Nian Jin Sui, feeling both surprised and flattered, wondered why Qin Cheng Yu was suddenly so concerned.

He answered vaguely,

“Only occasionally... not often…”

Qin Cheng Yu didn’t press further, assuming that Nian Jin Sui wasn’t paying much attention to his own health.

After all, Nian Jin Sui seemed indifferent even to the bruise on his knee and had no intention of treating it.

“It’s a good thing the bandage only got slightly wet,”

Qin Cheng Yu remarked.

He plugged in the hairdryer and prepared to dry the bandage.

Nian Jin Sui, who had been watching Qin Cheng Yu’s every move,

was touched by his thoughtfulness when he noticed Qin carefully adjusting the temperature and wind speed.

Feeling guilty about causing more trouble, Nian Jinsui urged him,

“Qin Cheng Yu, just go to sleep. Don’t bother with me anymore…”

But Qin Cheng Yu handed him another towel.

“Master Nian, dry your hair.”

Even lifting his hand to take the towel was a struggle for Nian Jinsui, let alone drying his hair.

“It’s fine, no need to dry it…”

he said, giving up.

“Do you want to catch a fever and end up in the hospital again? A fever combined with a fracture could lead to a serious bacterial infection,”

Qin Cheng Yu chided as he placed the towel on Nian Jin Sui’s head and began drying his hair for him.

“…Fine, I’ll trouble you this time,”

Nian Jin Sui reluctantly agreed, realizing the seriousness of the situation.

After Qin Cheng Yu dried his hair, Nian Jin Sui quickly tried to send him away.

“Alright, alright. There’s nothing else. Go back to your room.”

Qin Cheng Yu didn’t respond, putting away the hairdryer before leaving.

Ning Liang An finished work at 9 PM, exhausted from long hours during summer break to earn extra money.

He had been pushing himself to the limit, which led to his high fever during Nian Jinsui’s birthday party.

Even now, Ning Liang An hadn’t fully recovered, but he attributed his dizziness and fatigue to overwork, suspecting another fever without overthinking it.

As he walked down the alley, he noticed movement behind him through a convex mirror.

A familiar figure trailed him, but Ning Liang'an paid no attention, knowing who it was and the goodwill behind their actions.

Still, he had no intention of reciprocating those feelings.

Once home, Ning Liang An locked the door and ignored the person following him.

Feeling parched, he realized with a shock that his heat period had started.

Frantically searching for suppressants, he remembered using the last one and forgetting to restock due to his busy schedule.

He had no choice but to go out and buy more despite the late hour, hoping to return quickly without incident.
